Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American musician, actress and performer. The most well-known part of her career was "one of the first Mouseketeers" in The Mickey Mouse Club. She began singing when she was a teenager, and later became known for the hit song "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess." The girl was born and raised in Utica in the United States, with Italian parents who were immigrants from Italy, Annette was a shy teenager. Once she made the decision to begin a professional career within the field her first step was to start doing dance and performed. At the beginning of the 1950s, Annette became well-known for her appearance in numerous "Disneysketch shows. Annette was able to shed her 'Disney" persona that she developed when she was a kid and took many different adult characters. Most notable was her role as the pioneer in the genre of beach parties.
